Get that damn fried chicken out your mouth!

Fried chicken, French fries and everything fried can be very enjoyable, but treating yourself to such fare regularly could be deadly. Women who eat more than one serving a week of fried chicken or fried fish have an increased risk of heart disease and death, researchers report.


"Overall, researchers found that total fried food consumption is related to higher risk of all-cause death, and also death from cardiovascular disease," says senior researcher Dr. Wei Bao.


The results are shockingly surprising; given the association of fried food to weight gain and obesity, as well as elevation of cholesterol. Poor decisions lead to poor results. We have the opportunity to help ourselves live healthier and longer with lifestyle changes. It is time out and time to take accountability for what we eat and realize our dietary choices have consequences.


In the past two decades, 31,588 women died, including 9,320 heart-related deaths, 8,358 cancer deaths and 13,880 deaths from other causes. (more accurate and updated numbers visit https://www.heart.org/en)


Researchers found that women who eat a lot of fried foods also has other health problems that could affect their heart. If your finding yourself eating one or more fried meals per week, your pushing up on obesity and this is not the road you want to head down.

Heart attacks occur from cholesterol plaques building up in the coronary arteries. Consuming fats from fried food directly impacts the burden of this disease. A cholesterol plaque rupture in the artery will cause a heart attack.


This was a very hard topic to speak on; due to losing my mother April 14, 2014 to a heart attack. The day I found her dead, will forever be embedded in my memory from the plate of fried chicken bones laying on the floor and the left over fried chicken that sat on the stove.
